Big Daves tour is to Formula Student fans, what time is to Einsteins Theory of relativity. True Brilliance!

Short Bio

Let’ s not beat about the bush, Big Dave’s early life was harsh, like white trash poor harsh!

He grew up in a tough neighbourhood, all the kids picked on Dig Dave (in those days he was cruelly know as Tiny Dave), cos his hot head Arabian Mare of a mother got knocked up after one drunk  drug fuelled night with a Shetland Stud from the travelling circus.

Big Dave didn’t have much of a career , touting himself out as a cheap prize in tombolas and raffle, working his way from bar to bar hoping one night he might find the drunken Shetland Stud that was his father.

Big Dave didn’t find his father, but one day his luck did change when one night he got a gig as a prize in  bar bingo.

The TBR18 Formula Student team were in town and they had talent, real talent , TWERKING Talent in the form of the E Dawg!! Elliott  TWERK THAT ASS Land.

Although Big Dave got abused in ways a young boy shouldn’t , that night changed his life , cos in the morning he was no longer Tiny Dave, He was Officially Big Dave , The Official Mascot of The UN-Official TBR18 Formula Student European Tour

One weekend after the British Grand Prix, Silverstone will once again play host to over 3,000 university students from over 100 universities at Formula Student 2018.

This annual competition, celebrating its 20th anniversary, sees talented engineering students from university teams design, build and run internal combustion and electric single-seater race cars.

Comprising business and cost presentations as well as action-packed Sprint, Skidpad, Endurance and Acceleration events, the competition is a test of real-world teamwork, time management, budgeting and engineering skills. As such, the competition prepares the students for the first steps in their working career; competitors regularly graduate to join Formula One and motorsport teams, as well as placements with the world’s leading engineering organisations.

This year sees first-time British winners from 2017 Cardiff Racing return to defend their title and fend off competition from all corners of the globe. More than 30 countries are represented in the competition. Top teams from UK, Malta, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and more are all looking to build on previous successes and experience to reach the top of the podium in 2018. With more than 30 countries represented and growing.

The 2018 competition also marks the launch of the FS-AI Autonomous class, with an inaugural demonstration of the autonomous car that mirrors the developments happening in the automotive industry. This would not have been possible without the support of Innovate UK and Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Formula Student look forward to reporting how the next generation of engineers rise to this new challenge in the coming months.
